Why Divide? – Pros Apologian

Why Divide? – Pros Apologian I am surely committed to the need of consistency. I must be consistent first and foremost in my own positive presentation of God’s truth, and secondly, by demonstrating the inconsistencies of those who oppose that truth, I seek their salvation as well as that of those who would be misled by them. And the reason I am fully committed to the defense of, and the centrality of, the gospel of grace finds its origin and source in the very same commitment to consistency that drives my apologetics. –James White see also www.disciplemaking.net

Conservative Resurgence – Examining Everyting by Scirpture

The SBC is still recovering from a 25 year long battle called the “Conservative Resurgence.” This battle rescued our Convention from liberals who had taken over our seminaries and many of our institutions. One is the rise of Calvinistic theology among Southern Baptists. David Dockery, president of Union University in Tennessee has said that wherever there is a high view of the Bible then Calvinism is ascendant. Other

Joseph Smith, founder of Mormonism exposed?

You decide… Found on the web: the folks over at irr.org have put out a video giving the single greatest documented proof that Joseph Smith Jr. was a charlatan, not a prophet of God. This award-winning documentary film investigates the story behind a volume of Mormon scripture called the Book of Abraham. The story is that Mormon founder Joseph Smith translated it from an ancient Egyptian papyrus scroll he purchased from an antiquities dealer in 1835. The Lost Book of Abraham visits prominent Egyptologists and other scholars – both Mormon and non-Mormon – to learn the truth behind this fascinating

Proof That God Exist

Go to Proof that God Exists if you have anydoubt! A common misconception is that the Christian and ‘unbeliever’ are on common philosophical ground, but the Christian just believes a few things extra that the professed unbeliever does not believe. If this were the case, it would make perfect sense to try to reason with the professed unbeliever, and present evidence so that they too could use their unaided reason to come to that extra belief. The problem is, the minute you use traditional arguments, you grant that the unbeliever can use logic and reason to assess them. You lend

Atonement Quiz

Adrian Warnock posted a quiz on the atonement that I wanted to post here. He says: The quiz is meant to be answered from the perspective of what John Stott says in his book The Cross of Christ. It can also be used to helpfully clarify your own position. It’s a simple true/false answer for each question. Why not jot down your answers and then see how they compare to John Stott? You may remember that earlier in the series I shared a quote from Stott with which many today would feel uncomfortable. How much do you agree with Stott?
