The Centrality of the Gospel by Tim Keller

It has been a great and ongoing Biblical discovery for me to understand how the gospel must be applied to all of life, especially considering how Paul deals with Peter in Galatians 2:14.  The article below has helped me see this more and more. The Centrality of the Gospel by Tim Keller My Summary and Reaction to Making the Gospel Central in Keller’s ArticleIt amazes me that I have not seen the connection that the Gospel is both truth and power both doctrine and life.  Colossians 1:6 is becoming more and more important in my understanding how the Gospel is both rational

A Good Test Case for Your Understanding of Law and Gospel

A Good Test Case for Your Understanding of Law and Gospel: “Can you explain how each of these declarations in 1 Corinthians 9:20-21 are true and simultaneously coherent? Paul was not under the law. Lordship Salvation

To follow Christ as His Disciple is not a works based salvation. The whole Christian life is lived by grace and no obedience is meritorious. Andre’e Seu’s Tragic Mistake on the Gospel of Glenn Beck – Justin Taylor I find Justin Taylors reference to a Theological Taxonomy from Michael Wittmer’s book, Don’t Stop Believing: Why Living Like Jesus Is Not Enough  is very helpful in showing the denial of the Gospel of Glenn Beck by distinguishing between  What you must believe, What you must not reject, and What you should believe. see also www.disciplemaking.net

The Repentance Option

I am reading through “What is the Gospel? by Greg Gilbert.  Here is a quote on repentance and faith in regards to the Gospel. Jesus’ message to his listeners was, “Repent and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). If faith is turning to Jesus and relying on him for salvation, repentance is the flip side of that coin. It is turning away from sin, hating it, and resolving by God’s strength to forsake it, even as we turn to him in faith. So Peter told the on-looking crowd, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped
